Claiborne Beall established Beall Appraisal Service, an independent personal property appraisal practice, in 1990. He became an accredited senior appraiser through the ASA in 1992. As an appraiser for Miller & Arney Antiques, Inc. in Washington, D.C. for over 10 years, he was involved in the buying, selling, restoring, researching and appraising of antiques and decorative arts.
Mr. Beall has done appraisals of antiques, decorative arts, fine art, general personal property, residential and business office contents for estate, insurance, gift, sale, tax and other purposes. He also acts as a consultant to local auction houses, antiques dealers, collectors, estate agents and private institutions.
His clients include attorneys, insurance agencies/companies, financial planners, certified public accountants, moving and storage companies, museums, historic and other foundations.
